The victim had neck and head injuries and he was rushed to Care Hospital while in a stable condition and he was admitted. The police officer’s rushed to the scene and found out that two men attacked the victim allegedly claiming that the victim was interfering with their girlfriend. The suspect was arrested and detained in custody waiting for to go the court. More suspected are being sought concerning the issue. The police says that the law should be respected as some of the clan elders are interfering claiming that the issue can be solved out of the court by the clan elders. Investigations are ongoing about the new wave of attack among the Somali clans where several cases have been reported from Eastleigh that gangs are attacking their enemies. The police say that most of the cases about fighting involve the Somali’s. Other gangs are threatening people making them live a life full of fear. The detectives are to get those who are behind the attacks and will face the rule of law. Investigations about the immigration status of the Somali’s are ongoing as there have been complains that some people attack their enemies and they flee away to hide in the country. The locals have urged the police to take serious actions on the suspects and anyone else who will be involved in a similar case. It is claimed that most of assault cases is based on clan politics as the leaders in the clan do not want to be accountable of their actions and therefore serious actions should be taken on the suspects. “We receive reports of assault on individuals over clan-based politics and this is coming here in Kenya. The authorities must take action to address the issue,” said a businessman based in Eastleigh. On the other hand, police in Dagoretti shot a 28-year-old man to death on Wednesday evening who was suspected to be a robber. The officers received complaints from the members of the public while on patrol that there were gangs who were stealing from them. “The officers acted swiftly and fatally injured one as the other managed to escape. The officers recovered a homemade gun capable of firing from the slain suspect,” a report filed at Muthangari police station said. The body of the suspect was taken to city mortuary for preservation.
