News Politics RALLYING THE MOUNTAIN: KINDIKI ACCUSES OPPOSITION OF PROPAGATING PREMATURE AND INSIGHTFUL POLITICS Havana MediaMay 13, 2025011 views KINDIKI: IT’S TIME FOR WORK, NOT FOR CAMPAIGNS Deputy president kithure kindiki has once again fired his critic on the opposition accusing them of propagating premature and insightful politics on kenyans instead of focusing on tabling agendas. Speaking during the grassroots learders forum in nyandarua county, kindiki reaffirmed that it’s not time for engaging in politics but rather a time for service delivery. The nationwide grassroots leaders’ forum moderated by deputy president kithure kindiki saw his camp pitched in nyandarua county today. The meeting set the mount kenya political bonfire ablaze with the deputy president slamming the opposition for insightful politics which he claims upholds only their political interests ignoring the needs of the people. “We know how to campaign. But a good leader starts with the interests of the people. You first push for roads, electricity, water, and prices for milk and potatoes. Then, when the campaign season comes, you remove your coat and tie, wear a t-shirt and cap, and go seek votes,” he said. Since the ousting of former president rigathi gachagua, the possibility of a divided vote has made the region an uncertain political hot seat currently being scrambled by all the 2027 presidential aspirants. However kindiki has expressed kenya kwanza’s goodwill on the region promising to finish the already started development projects as their perfect way of securing the mountain votes. “We are very focused on delivering services to the people of Kenya, including those of Nyandarua. Some people want us to enter politics—we have refused. Not because we’re scared,” he stated. Joined by other kenya kwanza allies, the leaders referred to the opposition’s criticism as noise from their failure. Majority leader of the national assembly kimani ichungwa on his part maintained that the kenya kwanza government still holds to their slogan “bottom up: saying that it was not just a campaign strategy but a work plan to empower kenyan people. “We have two groups now. One group is focused on development, day and night, front and back, left and right. The other group is all about politics and incitement. They go around talking and inciting people, yet they have done nothing to help. Some of them were elected, but all they do is stir emotions,” he said With the grassroots meetings intended to be held across the country, a move believed to be a strategy of solidifying kindiki’s influence in the mountain, the engagement is facing sharp competition from gachagua who is also currently rallying the mountain behind him even as he braces to launch his party. “So don’t think we don’t know politics. We know it—and we’re better at it than some of those who keep lecturing us. There are some who think they’re the only ones who understand politics. Let’s meet ahead, my friend. They will see fire. They’ll see a long day ahead. But for now, I am focused,” he added.
